Jaipur International Airport (JAI) Information

(Jaipur, Rajasthan, India)

Jaipur International Airport, also known locally as Sanganer Airport, is the only air facility to be located within India's Rajasthan state. It primarily services the busy tourist destination of Jaipur, but also allows quick access to the far reaches of north-western India and Rajasthan's many towns, such as Kanauta and Luniawas.

More than 1.5 million passengers fly to the airport each year, mainly from domestic locations such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore. A number of Indian carriers provide a good range of daily services and these names include Spice Jet, IndiGo, Jet Airways, JetLite (formerly Air Sahara) and GoAir. Domestic connections ensure easy access to most international cities.

Terminal 1 opened just a few years ago and handles international flights to only a handful of destinations such as Muscat (Oman Air), Dubai (Air India Express) and Sharjah (Air Arabia). Terminal 2 caters solely to domestic flights. Both terminals offer a solid selection of amenities for passengers, including options for food, drink, shopping and banking.

This site is located to the south of Jaipur, with the town of Sanganer being even closer. Taxis are the most common form of transport from the airport, although car hire is also available inside the terminal through a handful of Indian and global rental firms.
